When you are overwhelmed by debt, you deserve an attorney who understands both the law and the emotions that come with starting over. I focus my practice on helping individuals and couples get a true fresh start through Chapter 7 personal bankruptcy. I’ve also been through my own Chapter 7 very early in my career, so I know firsthand the fear, shame, and relief that can come with the process—and I know that better days really are ahead.

For three decades, I’ve practiced law in roles that demanded judgment, resilience, and clear communication. I began my career as a Deputy District Attorney in Oregon, handling busy criminal dockets and learning how high‑stakes legal systems actually function for real people. From there, I moved into private practice and later served as in‑house counsel to a national company, managing complex copyright, trademark, and litigation matters. That experience sharpened my attention to detail and my ability to navigate tough bureaucracies—skills that directly benefit clients facing the bankruptcy system.

I’ve also spent significant time in business and creative roles, including running an online media company and managing intellectual property portfolios for multiple brands. Those years gave me a ground‑level understanding of cash flow, contracts, creditors, and what happens when economic realities collide with good intentions. I bring that broader business perspective to every case, especially when small businesses or side ventures are part of the picture.

Today, my work is intentionally focused and personal. I don’t run a volume “mill” or hand you off to staff you never meet. I handle your matter myself, explain each step in plain language, and make sure you understand your options before you make any decisions. My goal is to replace confusion with clarity, panic with a plan, and shame with dignity.
